4-0: M1s vs Kelburne 1s (Premiership) - 05/03/2022

Game Starts

Hillhead score in first 3 mins, some mix up with starting team, super sub Matt C (who was meant to be starting) came on to score a peach.

Steady game after that with both teams not giving much away, Hillhead’s own Stewart Cartmill getting a green card for not hearing the whistle and playing on.

Start of the second half a fire was lit under Hillhead and the boys rallied around JLS (Jimmy Lynch-Small) as he scuffed his shot and the ball rolled over the Kelburne keeper.

Another goal for Hillhead. A jammy one from Blackie (Andrew Black) squeezed into the Kelburne goal

And the final goal of the game, from Fraser Ward, ball hit a Kelburne foot, the umpire played great advantage, and the ball fell to Fraser who pinged in a reverse shot to take Hillhead to 4-0

Unfortunately for previous Man of the Match, Grant Macmillan who got the call that he was on a flick at the short corner by coach Keith Joss. Was told very quickly by team mate Iain Hilton that we were doing slip right… one thing led to another and Goal of the season contender Macmillan pinged a reverse off his back stick and it floated towards the Kelburne keeper.

End of the match

Shout out to Ewan Campbell GK for keeping a clean sheet in the warm up (source of this new is Vijay)
