4s & 6s Roundup - 05/03/22

Hillhead 4s 4-2 Rottenrow 2s

We made it very difficult for ourselves going 1-0 and 2-1 up, but ending the first half 2-2. Great sliding goal from Sid at the far post; with a ball fired in to the D. Then a lucky deflection off a Rottenrow stick saw the ball sail over three of their defenders in the D and Dan tucked it away nicely.

We had all the possession in the 2nd half and should have scored more. 3rd goal was a well taken short corner by Andy macey, straight stop and hit and for the 4th Adam Gillespie cut out a loose pass and ran solo into their D with a nice reverse shot into the bottom left hand corner.

Keeps us safe in 4th position.

Hillhead 6s (Dev Squad) 3-3 Clydesdale 5s

A well deserved draw against Clydesdale 5’s. After dominating the first half the boys went in 1-1 at half time after a goal by Jamie Westwood. The boys then lost two quick goals to go 3-1 down before fighting back in the last 5 minutes with goals from Alasdair Fisher and Euan Speirs.

The boys then created a couple more very good chances and should probably have sneaked a well earned win. Well done to the whole team and MOTM was Alasdair Fisher.
