National League 1 Playoff

Posted by Ewan Campbell on 5 April 2019

A tough end to the regular season sees Hillhead 1st team taking part in a National League 1 relegation playoff match against Dunfermline Carnegie. A win tomorrow would mean they are safe while a loss would mean another match next weekend against either Watsonians or Kelburne.

Carnegie finished runners up in National League 2 behind Dundee Wanderers and have already faced Hillhead this season in the Scottish Plate. Carnegie were the victors on that occasion but can expect to play a very different Hillhead side on Saturday as players return from injury, suspension and holidays for the playoff match.

Hillhead will look to experienced players such as Graeme Campbell and Callum Duke to lead by example as they have done all season and provide the cutting edge required.
